      Pathfinder – A serious Open Cruising Boat

      Sea Urchin – Built by Rick Corless at his home on Gabriola Island, British Columbia is one of the nicer examles of the Pathfinder design. He's gone to a lot of trouble to make her look something very special, building during the off season from his job as a diver and harvester of the spiny delicacy that his pride and joy is named for.

       

      I’d been getting very positive feedback on my 4.5m Navigator design, but there were a few who wanted a bit more space, plus the ability to venture further of a weekend. They still wanted the boat to fit in their carport, mainly as a building space but storage was also an issue, you can see that most suburban dwellers have limitations in that respect so that was a major consideration.

      SEI – A Latter Day Viking

      Here I am sailing back toward the dock, the very first time she’d been sailing to windward. Her Mik Storer built RSS sail is setting perfectly and although the water, sheltered by the mangroves doesn’t show it, the wind is up around 20kts and SEI is loving it.
