20th Bribie Island
Classic Boat Regatta May 18-20, 2018
For over 20 years, each May, Bribie Islanders have enjoyed witnessing Classic Boats, large and small, flocking into the Pumicestone Passage for a weekend of ‘Messing About in Boats’ and general fun on our fantastic waterway.
The boats are accessible to the public for free at certain times during the weekend. The boats visit Toorbul beach at midday Saturday and visit Pacific Harbour 3pm Saturday. On Sunday at 9.30am they parade through Pacific Harbour canals and finally from 11am owners proudly display their boats to the public while undertaking some simple boating activities at Sylvan Beach.
Entry is open to all old and new classic and timber boat owners. Come along for a great day. To register please visit www.bribieislandboatingclub.org.au/registration-for-2018/
A free night at Pacific Harbour Marina is available for participants (Saturday) and discounted berthing rates for extra nights.
There’s a free lunch on Saturday on the beach at Toorbul supported by the Bribie Island Mahalo Outrigger Canoe Club and the Bribie Island Sailing is provided courtesy of the Moreton Bay Regional Council.
For those returning to the Spinnaker Sound ramp on Saturday it’s a pleasant trip after lunch from Toorbul.
